Jim phalen
Currently based in Washington, Jim phalen received his BFA in sculpture form the Art Institute of San Francisco and a MFA in painting from the University of New Mexico. His work has been exhibited in solo and group shows throughout the country, including Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo and Frye Art Museum. In 2000, Phalen has received a Pollock Krasner foundation grant and has since been Adjunct Professor at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA. The artist is committed to the practice of working from life, seeking to capture the integrity of experience through seeing.
